These gravers are used to engrave pictures or to set stones. They can also be used to remove material wherever that is needed.
There are different forms (cross-sections): knife-form, 90 degree angle, 60 degree angle, oval and so on, they are cut sharp on the front.
The technic is to set the graver tip on the material under an certain angle and apply pressure on the back. In this manner there will shavings cut out of the material. The art is to give always the correct pressure and hold it in the right angle. Another critical point ist to sharpen the gravers in the appropriate angle.
